Through our ongoing training programmes, TruGreen consistently embraces the corporate objective, "To help people develop." Throughout our history, education and training at every level have been TruGreen hallmarks.

Startup

Prior to arrival at the Training Academy, each franchisee completes a "14-Day home study" course designed to bring the class in at the same level - without regard to previous skills. Once at the Academy, new owners undergo an intensive, two-week, hands-on curriculum that develops target skill sets and integrates them into the services you will provide. Attention is also focused on actual business startup, marketing, customer acquisition and retention. The government accreditation PA1/PA6 is taken during this course allowing you to buy and apply commercial products.

Ongoing

After graduation from the Training Academy, franchisees may want to participate in a mentoring programme that pairs experienced franchisees with new owners in the same general service area. The purpose is to press new skill sets into use while developing finesse in customer acquisition. Additionally, there are opportunities to enhance skills through Regional Meetings. Here, new products and processes are showcased and exhibited. These gatherings provide owners with the opportunity to network, solve common problems and master new skills and techniques.

Extra Training

As you grow your business you will need extra skills. Regular tranining takes place at our Leicester head office for many more aspects of garden care.

You will also want to take on extra staff. We arrange training courses for your operators at Leicester. This training is free. All you pay for is their accreditation and any accomodation they may require.
